Vingegaard leads the overall standings by coming second in the sixth stage of the 2023 Tour de France
Tadi Pogacar won first place in the sixth stage of the 110th edition of the 2023 Tour de France, but Jonas Vingegaard snatched the yellow jersey and topped the overall standings by coming second.
Pogacar contented himself with the runner-up to snatch the lead in the general standings from Jay Hindley Where Pogacar, the champion in 2020 and 2021, completed the sixth mountain stage, which extended for a distance of 145 km between Tarbes and Cotteret in the Pyrenees, at a time of 3:54.51 hours, 24 seconds ahead of Vingegaard.
Hindley fell to third place in the overall standings, after finishing the stage sixth, 2 minutes and 39 seconds behind Pogacar, who rose to second place, 25 seconds behind
Vingegaard, after achieving his first victory in this version and the tenth in the Tour de France.
On Friday, the riders will take on a 170-kilometer flat stage between Mont-de-Marsan and Bordeaux.
